SummaryEdit

Kazuya Aoi is born on April 3, 2015n to the opening ceremony of West Genetics. Ryuuichi begins to come home earlier following his son's birth, and one day he comes home to a listless Orie who is frustrated that Kazuya will not drink her breast milk or even formula. Ryuuichi takes Kazuya to a hospital, only to be informed that Kazuya is perfectly healthy. Ryuuichi asks how such a thing is possible and their doctor replies that it is possible Kazuya's bond with his mother is weak, leading him to reject her milk.

Orie takes this news poorly, and Kazuha fries to feed Kazuya herself. After she fails, Kazuha apologizes for not being able to help him. The following day, Ryuuichi and Orie return to the hospital to check on Kazuya, only to discover that Gengo has taken him, which has resolved the problem. Their doctor explains that Gengo was able to solve Kazuya's problem immediately so they felt it best to release him into his grandfather's care. Orie and Ryuuichi angrily confront Gengo, who shows reveals Cassandra happily breastfeeding Kazuya. Upon seeing Cassandra breastfeeding her son, Orie snaps and charges at the pair. She hysterically demands Kazuya be given back to her, Orie recklessly attempts to grab Kazuya's head, but is promptly stopped by Cassandra. Orie is thrown down and injured from the brief contact with the Legendary Pandora. Now sobbing, Orie weakly demands Kazuya be given back to her. Forlornly, Cassandra hands Kazuya to Gengo, who precedes to hand him back to Orie. Unexpectedly, Kazuya begins to cry fiercely in Orie's arms, surprising everyone. Ryuuichi attempts to calm his son, but Orie suddenly stands and begin walking towards Cassandra. Orie hands her son to Cassandra, who stops crying immediately. Orie breaks into deranged laughter, before crumbling to the ground and sobbing violently for Kazuya had chosen his mother.

Back at their home, Orie watches Cassandra tend to Kazuya under a nearby tree with rage and jealousy. Later that night, as everyone sleeps, Orie sneaks into her son's room. She declares him to be a mistake that should never have been born. Orie begins smothering Kazuya, but Kazuha catches her and leaps to Kazuya's defense.

Ryuuichi awakens to a lot of noise and rushes into Kazuya's room to see Kazuha having stabbed Orie with a broken piece of glass, taken from the shattered window. Orie is taken to an ambulance with Ryuuichi trying to assure her that she will be okay, but she ultimately dies for her injuries while Kazuha soon explodes in tears, crying for her mom.

Ryuuichi skips Orie's funeral and spins to spiral into depression and violence against Cassandra. Kazuha begins her training Gengo, and she is equipped with six mini Legendary Stigma, which are the Heroic Stigma. Kazuha seems undisturbed by her father's emotional descent. Kazuha casually reveals that her training with Gengo is allowing her to speak to Orie. This alarms Ryuuichi, who proposes they leave so that Gengo can't influence Kazuha anymore. Kazuha is puzzled by her father's sadness over Orie's death, reasoning that because she is dead that doesn't mean she is gone. Kazuha's calm acceptance of her mother's demise enrages Ryuuichi, who blames his daughter for her mother's death. Kazuha reveals that she didn't hate her mother and that she was merely protecting Kazuya until he and Kazuha could fulfill their duties. Ryuuichi is further enraged by this, demanding to know if Kazuha is even Orie's child. Kazuha is puzzled by this, and affirms her relationship to Ryuuichi.

Ryuuichi rushes to confront Gengo, who is tired of his son's actions and reasons that even fleeing won't enable his son to hide from him. Faced with his grief-stricken and furious son, Gengo reveals that Ryuuichi's purpose is to serve as a guide for all of the Transcended Beings that exist on planet Earth as the child of Maria Lancelot, a destiny and relationship that Ryuuichi rejects absolutely while expressing unyeilding hatred toward his father..

Ryuuichi returns home, stumbling and his sanity shattered. Cassandra rushes to him, only for Ryuuichi to completely snap and rape Cassandra. In the morning, Kazuha awakens to find Kazuya crying and Cassandra missing. She then finds her crazed father with a gun to his head. Ryuuichi pulls the trigger as a final act of defiance to his father.

The flashback ends, and Kazuya is found the by the spirit of his sister Kazuha, who shares her true opinions about humanity and Gengo's battle to preserve it. She also reveals how she had not loved Kazuya at first but grew to love him after caring for him. Kazuya is shocked and protests at many of Kazuha's declarations, but Kazuha continues on by telling Kazuya that "we" don't feel anything for family or for humans. She also warns him that all of humanity will become that way as well. However, Kazuya may prove to be a true ally of humanity and is thus the perfect person to protect them.

Kazuya awakens, rises, and addresses Cassandra as "mom" for the first time. Kazuya unleashes his Freezing, with his eyes taking on the countenance of his grandmother's. Kazuya induces transcendence in Arnett McMillan and Elizabeth Mably, taking control of them and Satellizer as well as enhancing their abilities. With their new power, the Transcendent Pandora begin to destroy the Pandora-Type Nova.

Su-Na Lee, Gengo Aoi and the arrive having arrived at West Genetics to meet Sister Margaret Lindman who solemnly states she has opened up the command centre for their use. However, Sister Margaret informs Gengo that he must cover for the West or they risk being removed from the Genetics system entirely. Gengo responds it doesn't matter, because Chevalier is now powerless and the West is the only thing that can protect mankind.

Below the chamber of Maria is a stasis capsule, containing the body of a young girl, a mask covering her eyes while a mark on her faces declares her designation to be Arcadia 01.
